Guitar sparkles in sound, whether you are plucking on nylon or steel strings. Its body can become a percussion instrument, with its own unique sense of rhythm and amplification – it’s hard to find an instrument that’s more immersive. You have everything that you ever need in one instrument when you pick up a guitar, and it has made a lasting impression on almost all music genres.

Guitars come in many sizes, so as an instrument it’s a versatile and accommodating option for young people of all ages. Over time our guitarists will gain an extensive chord vocabulary, which is invaluable in pursuing any style of music.

Our guitarists are all invited to take part and perform in our annual World Heart Beat Guitar Fiesta as well as being part of our contemporary bands, gypsy ensembles, jazz classes and song writing master-classes. There are also additional performance opportunities to perform in local festivals.
