World Heart Beat transforms lives
World Heart Beat is a registered charity founded by Sahana Gero, MBE in 2009. It comprises a music academy, concert hall and recording studios.
The charity’s music academy began with just 70 students being taught in a converted warehouse space at Kimber Road in Southfields, Wandsworth. Bursting at the seams with over 320 students, we are delighted to now have a second music education centre in Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, Battersea.
Two sites, more impact…
Across our two sites, our expanded academy enables us to benefit more children and young people than ever before, retaining our commitment to remove barriers through the provision of bursaries and free instruments to all those who need them. It will also be the base for expanding our work with schools and community organisations in Nine Elms, particularly engaging children and young people living in difficult circumstances.
Outstanding facilities…
The high-tech facilities at World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens will enable us to extend our EMERGE programme, and offer music industry skills training including sound engineering, lighting and audio production — all delivered with our prestigious industry partners. The industry standard recording studios will enable us to record young artists at the start of their careers, and is also available for hire.
London’s newest concert hall…
Our state-of-the-art concert hall has a busy programme of concerts featuring diverse, emerging and international musicians, providing a special intimate experience for audiences. We welcome all of our communities to enjoy our programme and we make a valuable contribution to the London music scene.
Changing Lives Through Music
World Heart Beat is a vibrant and thriving home for musicians, a place to see the very best live music, and a place of great joy.
