Making a difference

World Heart Beat is a registered charity, established in 2009 by Sahana Gero MBE. Her aim was to meet the need for learning music outside of school, and for creative industry skills training, for south London’s most disadvantaged young people. Our aim to ‘level up’ has never been more relevant.

Today, more than 50% of our students receive bursaries to include free tuition and free instruments. 60% of children and young people are from the Global Majority. We support young people to become independent in the world, nurturing them as individuals, growing their confidence and aspirations, and developing their wider skills.

Your support through hiring our venue will help us to continue our valuable work, cultivating the social mobility of future generations.

World Heart Beat uses the power of music to inspire, bring people together and make a positive impact
