This project is for talented young people who want to learn to play songs they love on piano. They will work with a specialist tutor to learn how to play keyboard, about chords, linking chords and how to create and play pop songs. This is not a class for reading music, but is aimed at young people who want to gain confidence playing in bands and work towards performing in concerts. Learning the keyboard in this way will hone young people’s creativity and musical knowledge to make them more adaptable musicians.
No previous piano experience is required, but young people who apply for this course should be serious about music and show commitment to learning and playing.
