‘When you enter the World Heart Beat Music Academy
all you want to do is play music’

Our mission is to bring music to everyone starting at a young age. There are no barriers in style or approach, what is important is that the love of playing and learning music is absorbed into our lives. Learning a musical instrument gives a child an immense sense of achievement. The emotion discipline and structure involved, takes them on a journey far beyond their initial expectations, and they soon recognise that there are no limits. We believe in the art of the possible, in the power of music to transform lives. Grid Architects are remarkable in their ability to create and transform. The World Heart Beat Music Academy space was formally an office/storage space that had been derelict and disused for years and had no life energy, into a space where the musical vibe is so strong that world class musicians and young children alike are enjoying working at this academy.”
– Sahana Gero, Musical Director

Congratulations on what is a most exciting project – the building is great, – it was a real tribute to you and your vision that so many people were there.

We look forward to hearing more about the academy, and supporting you in the future.

I just wanted to say thank you for inviting me to your launch party yesterday evening. It really was a magnificent occasion and it was so uplifting to see so many young people who clearly have a great love for making music. When I was younger I tried to learn the piano and the clarinet, but could never maintain the discipline and dedication to practice, but perhaps I would have been better had I had an environment like your Academy where the sense of involvement is so infectious and encouraging.

The building is welcoming I very much enjoyed the colour schemes. Musicians don’t often realise how our surroundings affect our moods, & therefore what we can undertake !
