51st State Band + 51st State Big Band

The 51st State Band are our flagship youth band, conceived by Founder and Artistic Director Sahana Gero.  With boundless energy and talent, the band represents the spirit of the World Heart Beat Music Academy – bringing young gifted musicians of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to learn and play together.

They play the first half of this special evening with an inspirational and vibrant programme of jazz, rock, soul and film scores, ideal for anyone aged 5 to 95 years! 

Really very impressive and worth going to hear at their next performance.

The second half will feature the 51^st State Big Band with ‘The House of Swing‘. With Duke Ellington repertoire at its core, the 18-piece band will feature the rising stars of tomorrow and be showcasing classic, swinging numbers.

Our 51st State Band concerts are unmissable events – your chance to see the young musicians really shine, and showcasing the vitality and dedication that World Heart Beat students really thrive on.

So many talented young people clearly having a great time! It was really an uplifting experience.
