The 51st State Band meets every Thursday and are very proud to host a wonderful concert each year at the Putney Arts Theatre!
With a vibrant programme ranging from jazz standards and film scores, to the greats of Stevie Wonder and George Gershwin, we captured imaginations to provide a sensational and inspirational evening of music.
The 51st State Band came from a doughnut party held in a small living room one afternoon in year 2000 … Since then, the band has grown to well over 100 young musicians and is perhaps the most vibrant and largest community concert band in London.
The 50 and a half State Band is a concert band which is for flutes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French horns percussion for grade 1 or grade 2 players and under.
