A Fresh Start
As we head into January, now’s the time to book some uplifting and inspirational music to get you through the wintery months whilst taking refuge at the unique and welcoming space of World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, complete with awesome acoustics with world-leading d&b SoundScape system.
Highlights include the launch of World Heart Beat’s new Piano in the Elms series which draws inspiration from the elm tree—a timeless symbol of community and connection. Just as the elm embodies resilience, unity, and mystery, the series brings people together through the captivating power of piano music, transcending genres and celebrating harmony. The series starts with Venezuelan pianist Arnaldo on his piano journey back to the Austrian capital of Vienna, Piano in the Elms: Arnaldo Corgorno (Saturday 18 January) followed by a three-day piano festival in mid-March featuring pianists Kristina Arakelyan (Thursday 13 March), Julian Joseph (Friday 14 March) and Colour Studios: GKO (Saturday 15 March).

January
Kicking off January we have the dynamic blend of original compositions and reimagined Azerbaijani folk songs from Elchin Shirinov Quartet (Friday 17 January); classical guitarist Ahmed Dickinson plus guests join forces to celebrate the rising Catalan rising star composer Ahmed Dickinson: The musical world of María Camahort (Wednesday 22 January); and a hauntingly immersive music programme for flute, piano and ambient audiophonics with Cherubim Music Trust: Siren Song (Saturday 25 January).

February
February welcomes the exploration of a music journey exploring the ‘graft of a life well lived’ Phil Merriman Trio: The Roots Beneath (Friday 7 February); a quintet featuring a mix of contemporary and traditional jazz ideas with Miguel Gorodi Quintet (Saturday 8 February); an evening of eclectic jazz from James Wade Sired’s Big Band and Sextet, JWS Big Band (Thursday 13 February) and dancing rhythms and playful melodies of Brazil and Cuba plus the harmony of North American jazz with Nick Costley-White: Poncha Album release (Saturday 22 February).

March
As we move into March, folk lovers can lose themselves in the tones of Lisa Knapp and Gerry Diver with the launch of Hinterland (Sat 1 March) as well as Auka (Friday 21 March) inspired by the melodies and rhythms of the natural world, with genre-defying original instrumental music on Irish flute & whistles, acoustic guitar and double bass. A series of chamber programmes explores themes of equality and diversity in Harmony Beyond Music: Taking Liberties (Friday 7 March); Two striking musicians combine forces to perform this exciting program of violin and piano duo works, Emily Sun and Joseph Havlat (Thursday 20 March) and Five Way Split (Friday 28 March) a jointly-led band formed in 2020 featuring some of the finest contemporary jazz musicians in the UK.
