Internationally renowned jazz maestro Julian Joseph will perform at World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens with the new work especially written for the festival, the Nine Elms Suite for Piano & String Ensemble, as part of the International Piano in the Elms Festival. The composer premieres his tone poem (or symphonic poem) for Nine Elms in a suite drawing on the emotive and social history of the area, welcoming travellers to London. Joseph creates a meditative tapestry as he places the warmth of his piano sound in the heart of a specially assembled string ensemble featuring the distinguished double bassist Chi-chi Nwanoku and Friends.
