About the Show

Operation Forest is a rewinding of the imagination—a chance for young people to plant their voices in new ground and see their stories grow. It’s about cultivating confidence, creativity, and belonging. What does a forest of unheard voices sound like? What rhythms and stories are waiting to take root?

Operation Forest highlights the ongoing need for global awareness of racial injustice and equality for all – it also raises awareness of the need to protect our planet. With all the problems in the world going on at the moment, love needs to be at the forefront.

Operation Forest is directed and curated by Ava Joseph, a rising star and inspirational local artist. A gifted singer-songwriter and World Heart Beat alumna, Ava is known for her genre-crossing talent and authentic voice, combining jazz, soul, R&B, and conscious lyricism. As a performer and composer, she has worked with artists such as Tomorrow’s Warriors, Nitin Sawhney, and Soweto Kinch, and has recently been featured on BBC Introducing.

This concert is part of an ongoing project by World Heart Beat Music Academy. We look forward to releasing more information soon!

Leah Wing (Supported by)

Leah Wing is a rising musician from Southwest London, nurtured by World Heart Beat, who began as a gifted flautist and has since evolved into a soulful singer-songwriter. Blending indie folk with pop and jazz influences, her honest, emotionally resonant lyrics invite listeners to reflect on their own experiences.

Her music is rooted in transformation—drawing from personal experience of journeying from darkness into light. Leah shares stories that speak to healing, hope, and inner renewal.

Leah’s approach is instinctive and deeply felt, drawing from her musical inheritance. Hints of her background in classical flute emerge subtly in her arrangements, echoing moments of peaceful improvisation and reflection shared in sacred spaces. Since beginning her songwriting journey a few years ago, Leah has crafted a sound that is distinctly her own—inspiration drawn from all corners of music—across a breadth of genres, styles and contrasting settings. At its core, her music is a reflection of her faith, her testimony and her joy of songwriting as a way to process all that life brings with a heart to inspire and encourage others.
