Gavin Holligan could easily be summed up as a modern day classic artist, delivering much of the craftsmanship you would expect to hear from iconic heroes of old. With a rich musical history, potent songs, quality musicianship and an engaging stage presence, you can always be sure that he will always offer his audience something worth waiting for.

Holligan has performed with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jocelyn Brown, and Gloria Gaynor, Duffy, Aswad and Floetry, both as a background vocalist and keyboardist. After some time, he became restless with the repetitive nature of it all and eventually concluded that it was time to develop his own creative ideas.

The BRIT School graduate slowly detached himself from the session scene and put together a local monthly showcase called ‘Chemistry’, whose guest performers included Katy B, Shola Ama and Jaz Ellington – finalist on ‘The Voice’ TV series 2012. Meanwhile, Gavin assembled a shop-basement recording studio ‘Brownhouse Studios’; honing his instinctive songwriting and production skills.

Since then, Gavin Holligan has released his own singles ‘More Than One’, and ‘Sorry This Hotel Is Closed’ receiving rave reviews across the globe, and the latter was playlisted for over four weeks on Jazz FM, as well as securing spots on BBC Radio 1Xtra and ‘BBC Introducing’, as well as endless support from various tastemakers & DJs.

Gavin was also featured on dance DJ Riva Starr’s 2020 single ‘If I Could Only Be Sure’ which gained airplay from the likes of Annie Mac @ BBC Radio 1. His latest release, ‘Same Old Story’ has been tipped to be an ‘instant classic’ by his many fans and critics alike.

Gavin’s music has been likened to the jazz infused instrumentation, behind the warm vocal palette of Grammy award winner Gregory Porter, or perhaps even the fresh spin on yesteryear’s Rhythm & Blues music, brought to us by the ten-time GRAMMY Award winner John Legend.
