UPDATE: This show is standing only, and will last approx. 70 minutes (no interval)
A hypnotic, haunting and melancholic performance from Romanian pianist and composer.
Andrei Irimia is a Romanian pianist and composer, a newcomer to the neoclassical movement that is currently emerging in Europe. Andrei is returning to World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens as part of a trio set.
Andrei creates hypnotic, haunting and melancholic neo-classical music for piano and strings. His delicate melodies soothe the soul in these troubled times and resonate perfectly with the audiences.
Now, with an ever growing profile on all social media, Andrei Irimia has become one of Romania‘s most appreciated contemporary piano composers.
He introduced his debut album, ‘Nuit Minimaliste‘ in 2019 — a tribute to the melancholy and lofty nonchalance of French minimalist music. In 2023, he unveiled his latest work, ‘All Strings Attached‘, a captivating fusion of electronic beats with neoclassical string instruments and piano.
Excitingly, he played a fantastic European Tour in 2023, and his journey kicked off with a fantastic performance at the Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands, where he shared the stage with the talented Eydís Evensen, Svaneborg Kardyb and Joep Beving. From there, he made memorable appearances at the SZIGET Festival in Hungary, Jazz in The Park in Romania, and various Philharmonic venues around Romania, with more captivating stops planned along the way.
Andrei will be joined by his collegues Razvan Paun & Thibault Solorzano on violin and cello.
