Weekly New Orleans Jazz class starting on Thursday 8th October, from 5:00 – 6:15pm.
We are delighted to welcome jazz musician Orlando Gilbert to World Heart Beat – he will be hosting a weekly New Orleans Jazz class.
Orlando was born into a musical family in New Orleans; all his life he has been saturated in music, and he studied the saxophone – in the classical and jazz tradition – from a young age.
Orlando has played with a myriad of jazz legends and Grammy award winning/nominated musicians like Delfayo Marsalis, Donald Harrison, The Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Christian Scott, Galactic, and many others.
His ethos is deep rooted in the New Orleans music culture, and he’s passionate about passing down all that he has learned to young, enthusiastic musicians!
