World Heart Beat

Jack Petchey Music Bursary Award Programme

We would like to thank Jack Petchey Foundation for its continued support of World Heart Beat throughout 2024.

The Jack Petchey Music Bursary Award Programme is providing funding for 27 World Heart Beat musicians, age 11-18 years.

The young students will receive group instrumental tuition, ensemble opportunities, free instrument hire and performance opportunities throughout the year.

Our condolences

Sir Jack Petchey CBE, age 98 years, sadly died in June this year, for which we are extremely saddened.

He set up Jack Petchey Foundation in 1999 to provide opportunities for young people across London and Essex through sport, science and art. He made an unbelievable contribution to young people’s lives and grassroots community organisations, such as World Heart Beat.

Through passion, belief, and hands on support for young people, Sir Jack led the way with his magnanimous heart and just doing everything through joy, happiness and love.

His legacy will live on, and will continue to flood our world with light and positivity.

World Heart Beat uses the power of music to inspire, bring people together and make a positive impact
