Friday 11 October 2024
Jazz & R&B
Tickets: £17.50 (£10 early bird offer)
Join Nayana AB for a headline show that blends soulful jazz and R&B with neo-soul and Caribbean rhythms, all accented by a unique Middle Eastern twist. The performance will feature Maddy Combs on saxophone, Nathan Dawkins on bass, Soul Gaspard on guitar, Maniko on keys, Wilf Cameron-Marples on drums along with surprise guests. Experience a rich, immersive performance that weaves global influences into a warm, emotionally resonant sound.
Following a whirlwind 2024 – supporting RAYE with her Flames Collective crew at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, Reading & Leeds Festival, the BRIT Awards, a trip to Morocco for a private gig and more, Nayana AB has also seen her star rise as a soloist.
Winning Dr Martens ‘Made Strong’ competition landed Nayana AB her first headline show, joining the London billing with Ezra Collective, P-rallel and Chi Virgo. Selected by nu jazz legend Yazmin Lacey, for the top prize on Cross The Track’s emerging artist competition, Nayana AB bagged herself a coveted performance slot at the festival. Fast forward to August 2024 and Nayana AB wins the Tileyard x Soundcloud International Songwriting competition, the prize being an all-expenses paid writing trip to Morocco.
