JWS Big Band

An evening of eclectic jazz from James' Big Band and Sextet

Thursday 13 February 2025

Jazz

Tickets: £25 / £15

James Wade-Sired is a brilliant young trombonist who shines bright on the London and international music scene. He emerged through various innovative London music programmes and came to the notice of artists like Cleveland Watkiss, Olivia Dean, Ricky Ford and Charles Tolliver with whom he’s performed, toured and recorded.

James is admired by a host of great musicians and has become a first call collaborator across a wide range of artists. His skills as a melodist, creative improviser and bandleader have been honed over time and make him one of the UK’s most promising musical talents advocated by his longtime mentors Tony Kofi, Byron Wallen and Julian Joseph.

His work with Jake Shears, Lime Cordiale, Giacomo Smith, Greentea Peng, and many more speaks for itself.

Now he launches his most ambitious offering as he fashions and experiments with original music crafted for his new and exciting Big Band. Featuring many new and emerging talents energising the thriving London jazz scene, James Wade-Sired brings them to World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens.

Catch this great talent at the beginning of what will be an exciting journey!

This is a PPL sponsored concert.
