Tickets: £15 / £20

Join Arnaldo Cogorno on his journey back to the Austrian capital, where folk, transcendence and amazing piano playing come together in one recital.
This is the first concert to feature in a new series of solo piano concerts ‘Piano in the Elms’ to take place at World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens.
For centuries, Vienna was the glittering capital of a great empire where many artists and immortal figures of classical music came to be. The composers featured in this exciting concert are part of this Viennese musical heritage, and they all revolutionized the capabilities of the pianoforte and the modern piano as an instrument in their own way. From the classical revolutionaries – Haydn and Beethoven – to some of the best exponents of romanticism – Schubert and Liszt, to an exciting South American folk-inspired composer like Miguel Del Águila, who masterfully fuses tradition with exhilarating modernism.
Arnaldo is a truly gifted pianist and teacher, who is able to communicate his love of music effortlessly through his warmth of character and dynamic pianism.
