World Heart Beat Music Academy is offering a free, action packed 2-day intensive course which acts a ‘taster’ introduction to its EMERGE 8-week training course.
Confirmed industry professionals to date include Jyoty, Anjelo Disons, Lex Amor, Shireen Valentina, Deanna Rodger, Shunaji, Domino, Reprezent Radio, Jelly Cleaver, Eno Efiek and more!
- drop in to panel discussions and interviews with industry professionals
- tune into performances by breaking new talent and connect with diverse creatives across UK music
- take part in practical workshops ranging from beat making, filming for music videos to learning about copyrights
- leave with a clearer picture of UK Music today – the skills, the knowledge, the experience you need to help navigate your way, plus

If you’re from Lewisham, Lambeth, Wandsworth or Southwark, you’ll be able to apply to the EMERGE 8-week training programme, delivered by World Heart Beat and Stride and access paid work experience and apprenticeships with music industry partners.

Anjelo’s performances are always an experience, entertaining crowds from Boomtown Festival to The Jazz Cafe and Southbank Centre to XOYO. The phenomenal blend of his unique vocals and virtuoso live band are unmissable.

Lex Amor is a Rapper, Producer, Sound Designer, Engineer and DJ from North London.
Amor first surfaced in 2016 with her characterful slant on descriptive hip hop. The calm yet powerful cadence of her delivery has since cultivated a cult following all over the world. Over the span of 4 years Lex has worked in and around UK music as an Artist, youth mentor and community organizer.
Lex has been featured on esteemed platforms such as COLORS and Boiler Room and has had editorial support from platforms such as PAM, Afropunk, OkayPlayer, Clash, Pitchfork, Line Of Best Fit, Lyrical Lemonade and Complex with the aforementioned listing her as the Rapper to look out for in 2021

Born and raised in North London, awe-inspiringly talented, singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Shireen Valentina is all things R&B.
Evoking all the things we think, but are hesitant to say, Shireen is unapologetically unfiltered with her expression of emotions, making herself and her music incredibly relatable.
Brought up and influenced by the likes of Brandy, Boyz2men, Joe, Ginuwine, SWV, Shireen incorporates her passion and love for R&B with a highly nostalgic yet new school sound.

Deanna is a leading force for contemporary poetry having performed and facilitated across five continents to critical acclaim.
With poetry and performance commissions from Adidas, St Paul’s Cathedral, BBC Sport, and FIFA, Deanna facilitates poetry lectures at UWE and tutors at School of Communication Arts. Most notably her poem ‘If’ was read by Serena Williams for International Womens day 2020.

Shunaji is a music producer, rapper and vocalist hailing from Rome and currently based in London. She adopts experimental approaches to blend jazz-influenced hip-hop with gloaming trip-hop and a touch of soulful synthesizer funk.
Her releases have been acclaimed within independent music scenes in the UK and abroad, as she pushes the boundaries of mainstream music. She is the recipient of multiple awards including the PRS Woman Make Music fund, Help Musicians’ Do It Differently and MOBO awards, and Sound and Music’s Interpreting Isolation.
Shunaji has performed internationally and across the UK, including festivals like Glastonbury Festival, Love Supreme, We Out Here and Wilderness.
