Brazilian Concert at The Speakers House

On the 26th of February, we were invited to perform at the Speaker’s House in the House of Commons. After only two weeks of rehearsing together, the Brazilian artists and students delivered a stunning and uplifting performance in one of the most prestigious places in the UK.

We are immensely grateful to The Speakers of the House of Commons, The Right Honourable John Bercow and Baroness Floella Benjamin for the invitation and for hosting the beautiful event. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Nathan Dawkins (11 yrs) for his heartwarming speech about what music means to him and to all of the students who worked so hard and played so well.

“It was a really magical evening and those young people were amazing, as were the Brazilian musicians.” – Charlotte Factor

‘The work that the academy is doing is very important and beautiful!”- Almir Pessoa
