About the artist

Vienna-born, London-based saxophonist Guido Spannocchi has earned critical acclaim through his delicate tone and a unique approach that combines jazz vocabulary with his upbringing surrounded by classical compositions. His output of original music on his own label has secured him sold-out shows from Ronnie Scott’s across the US to Senegal, from Vogue Tokyo Fashion week through Brazil, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Europe to the London Jazz Festival, if not on tour, Spannocchi runs various regular nights in the British Metropolis.

About the performance

Guido Spannocchi launches his latest album at World Heart Beat with a stellar ensemble featuring James Larter on vibraphone, Grammy-nominated Danny Keane on cello, and Grammy-nominated Jay Darwish on bass. Kammermusik marks Spannocchi’s first studio release in five years, following the critical success of Perihelion in 2021. On Kammermusik, he reflects on his Viennese upbringing steeped in classical music, while channelling the modern, cosmopolitan energy of London and the global influences shaped by years of extensive touring.
