Sons of Sonix, or SOS, are Moses and Mikey, producers of records for some of the world’s most famous artists, having worked with the likes of Ariana Grande, Stormzy, Justin Bieber, and Jennifer Lopez, only to name a few. Friends since childhood, the two connected through their love and passion for music, and shared a dream to change the challenging British music scene, especially for Black musicians.

Masterful production duo Sons of Sonix return with their new EP ‘Timezones And Tylenol’

The duo bring together a collective of refreshing features from likes of Teni, Seyi Shay, Jacob Banks, Chip and Bellah, highlighting their vibrant production that weaves R&B, afrobeats and hip-hop.

This much anticipated offering sports a swathe of talented musicians and vocalists, from the likes of British R&B starlet Bellah, Norwegian-Ivorian duo Nico and Vinz, Teni the Entertainer, Nigerian vocalist Seyi Shay and iconic UK rapper Chip. ‘Timezones And Tylenol’ brings together various corners of the globe, bridging the gap between the duo’s time spent across LA, London and Lagos. 

The full project boasts the grandeur of SoS’s production from electronic-infused afrobeats melodies on ‘Trust Yourself’ featuring Shawn Butler, to the velvety tones and rich percussion on ‘Find Money’ in collaboration with WES7AR and Teni. The EP’s sparkling sonics transport you to sun-soaked landscapes and glistening coastlines, with tracks like ‘Attention’ and ‘Find My Money’ inspired by Ghana’s Gold Coast. SoS have delicately intertwined West African rhythms throughout the project’s musical and lyrical depth, resulting in a luscious EP that speaks to their extensive and successful production background. 

‘Motion Sickness’ featuring Bellah, who is currently one of Spotify’s R&B Rising Artists To Watch in 2024, was released as the first single leading up to ‘Timezones And Tylenol’ and showcases the duo’s prowess for addicting R&B production. While ‘With You’ featuring Nico and Vinz who achieved international stardom with their hit single ‘Am I Wrong’, chronicles the importance of cherishing every moment with a significant other, painting this sentiment through the tracks layered instrumentation and hopeful chord progression.
