FREE CONCERT: Songs of Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Chinmoy

Avik Deb is an accomplished Bengali singer, he studied at the renowned school of Shurer Dhara in Dhaka, Bangladesh. There, under the expert tutelage of Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, one of the world’s foremost singers of the music of Tagore, his dedication to Bengali Music was established. Hailing from a small village amongst the tea gardens of northern Bangladesh, Avik’s love of singing was founded in his family. He was first taught by his mother, herself an excellent singer and now regularly performs on television and radio in Bangladesh.
As a result of winning the ‘Naba Gane Naba Prane Tagore 150 competition’ Avik has been invited to perform in the UK, and recently performed at the Dartington Tagore festival. We are thrilled to be inviting Avik Deb to sing at The World Heart Beat Academy.
