We were honoured to welcome Sushil Dade to the Academy, a former member of the Soup Dragons and current producer of BBC 3’s Jazz Lineup. Sushil gave our students an insight into what it’s like to work behind the scenes on a BBC radio station.

On 13th November, the 51st State Band were honoured to present a richly textured programme of music in the company of some huge stars of the Jazz world.
Erased Tapes records hosted a beautiful piano concert in celebration of Piano Day 2016. Proceeds from the concert went towards the purchase of a brand new piano for our Early Years project on Patmore Estate.

On Friday 25th September, some of our young musicians performed at the Battersea Art Station event, an exhibition and reception for Friends of Battersea Power Station.
World Heart Beat Music Academy students now have a performance slot on the last Sunday of every month at Chelsea Theatre, sponsored by 606 Club. Come along for a relaxing evening of wonderful jazz music from London’s most exciting young jazz musicians. Music starts at 6:45pm.
