Argentinian band Patera take a break from their European tour to teach some workshops in Wandsworth and join us in the studio for World Heart Beat Hour.
The fantastic charity Guitar Giving recently donated us two beautiful acoustic guitars for our young guitar players to use. We are immensely grateful for this donation – the new guitars have already proven popular with our young guitarists on Friday evenings!

An evening of inspiring music, home-cooked West African food and magical storytelling. Proceeds will go towards the Mother Blessings Orphanage in Liberia, to buy land for new housing and a school for the children.
Thanks to the generosity of the 606 Club and Julian Joseph Trio, we were able to hold a fantastic fundraising Jazz concert on 4th July.
Join us for an afternoon of free taster sessions and live music performances! There will be workshops available for children aged 5-12 (violin, clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, tabla and guitar) Taking place at our Music Academy 58 Kimber Road SW18 4PP on Saturday 29th April 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Last Sunday’s World Heart Beat Show on Wandsworth Radio was hosted by Mr Messeh Leone, a young Sierra Leonean who has gained international acclaim for his activism and inspirational work on social justice; and Mr Joseph Richard Abdulai aka ‘Soundboy Richie’, Sierra Leone’s top music producer.
On Saturday 18th June 2016, we had a wonderful Piano Party featuring performances from all of the young pianists learning at the Academy. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who provided cakes and biscuits to help make the party such a huge success.
These awards are an initiative of Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery to acknowledge the extra qualities and support that their scholars bring to the World Heart Beat Music Academy. (more…)
Action for Children’s Arts (ACA) Members’ Awards are a way of recognising the work of individuals and organisations who are making outstanding contributions in the Arts for children. Recipients are very much the heroes and heroines of children’s arts.
World Heart Beat student performed a stunning classical flute set for the Worshipful Company of Fanmaker’s exclusive annual dinner.
World Heart Beat Music Academy hosted the United Society of Writers for the launch of their contemporary poetry anthology Happiness: The Delight-Tree. The evening featured readings from the poets themselves, as well as performances from World Heart Beat Music Academy students and the Russian group Infinity’s Sky. (more…)
Join us for a concert with celebratory vibe, rhythmic grooves and strong beats. Featuring talented young musicians from the World Heart Beat Music Academy, and directed by jazz pianist and composer, Trevor Watkis.
Our very first Guitar Party was planned and organised by a World Heart Beat student who has been completing a Gold Arts Award.
On 15th July, our students showcased their talents in one of the UK’s most established jazz clubs, sharing the stage with the best jazz Trio in the country. (more…)
We are excited to welcome Ôctôctô, who will be offering a very special Brazilian Music masterclass followed by a concert. Ôctôctô includes the flautist, Cibele Palopoli, who we were thrilled to have at the Academy for the Brazilian Music and Culture Exchange Programme earlier this year.
