Nathan Dawkins, 13yrs old, has studied at World Heart Beat for five years. He plays the clarinet (Grade 6), saxophone (Grade 4), and the bass guitar. Nathan has been honoured with Student of the Month due to his determination to achieve, community spirit, and his support and mentorship of his fellow students.

On Monday the 26th of June, at 7pm, Trevor Watkis, Tony Kofi, and Byron Wallen, hosted an evening celebrating World Heart Beat’s passion for Jazz. Our fantastic Jazz students showcased their talents across a varied programme.
Since the success of our first Piano Party in 2013 we have made the event an annual occasion. Each party celebrates the excellence and hard work of our piano students, with performances featuring their favourite pieces and original compositions.
Step into Dance, the Royal Academy of Dance’s Inclusive company, has commissioned Julian Joseph, our lead patron and top Jazz pianist, to create an original piece for Step Live! – a new dance piece. This will be premiered at the company’s ten-year anniversary celebrations at The Royal Festival Hall on Monday the 17th of July.

World Heart Beat Music Academy students now have a performance slot on the last Sunday of every month at Chelsea Theatre, sponsored by 606 Club. Come along for a relaxing evening of wonderful jazz music from London’s most exciting young jazz musicians. Music starts at 6:45pm.

The World Heart Beat Music Academy is a Shangri-La for music, drawing in eminent musicians from around the world who nurture the talent of children and young people from 0-24 years old. The diverse programmes World Heart Beat offers tap into the vibrancy of music in all its forms.
Our warm thanks go to the Livery Companies who have helped children and young people to access a musical education by donating towards our projects.
The D’Oyly Carte Charitable trust have supported the Vocal department at World Heart Beat by providing the funds for us to run our first course of Gospel Choir workshops.
The Percy Bilton Charity have supported us to buy excellent Microphones and a Keyboard to finish our Recording studio.
Three of our talented young Jazz musicians have received funding towards their fees for World Heart Beat classes from Awards for Young Musicians.
World Heart Beat students have been invited to perform in Verdi – Italian Kitchen at the Royal Albert Hall as part of their Free Friday Music Programme. Friday October 28th | Free entry | Doors 11:30am | Table booking is advised.
