There was such palpable love in it all – the fantastic décor, the great leadership of all the teachers in the band, Cleveland’s understated but spell-casting hosting, and not least: the beautiful performance given by the young people.

Thank you for yet another wonderful and inspirational concert!
Thanks for absolutely everything you do for Emily – I am not sure what we would do with out 51st State Band!
Thank you so much! It was a privilege and a pleasure – what a wonderful
band! And it really chimes with our “mission” of making available artistic opportunities for young people.
Hope the redevelopment goes well. It all sounds very exciting!

Thank you for another fantastic concert. It was brilliant .Our guest Denis Betro who knows Julian Joseph and his family well from the Ronnie Scott days loved the arrangements.
We just wanted to thank you so much for a really amazing concert on Friday. It was really exhilarating to listen to – and I could NOT stop tapping my toe!! We thought the standard was absolutely brilliant, We so enjoyed it. “Smooth” is my favourite Santana song so that made my night, and I also love “I feel good”.
Terrific! Thank you!
We both enjoyed the concert immensely along with the rest of the audience. It reminded me of the excitement of being in a youth orchestra. You have achieved a very high standard- congratulations
Thank you very much – all the hard work paid off, it was a wonderful show and everything went so well. Congratulations for making it happen.

Thanks for the fabulous concert- a real goodie!
I thought the concert was fantanstic.
I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to see you after the concert (you were inundated with well-wishers!) but really, really well done. It was absolutely amazing, just a lovely mix of tunes, great arrangements and they played brilliantly didn’t they! You did a marvellous job bringing them all together so swiftly. We absolutely loved it,and the friend we brought was genuinely shocked and delighted by how fantastic it
was.
I just wanted to tell you we thought the concert last Friday evening was just the best. The choice of numbers was great, the playing tighter than ever as was the joy apparent amongst everyone taking part.
I loved watching Hector when he wasn’t playing, watching Craig with open admiration, absolutely lapping it up and Paul weaving his magic with the young percussionists, just terrific.
I can’t tell you what pleasure it gives Vinny and me to see Tilly Mima and Hector all playing in the band together. Roll on the opportunity for me to help introduce them to improvisation!
I’ve got such a huge admiration for what you do and achieve you’re stars, and for the guys who help teach and encourage them all.
Many thanks for all you do and our best wishes

I really enjoyed the concert, please pass on my congratulations to everyone on such an enthusiastic and energised performance!,
Best, and thanks again,
